Why you should get your kitchen cleaned at least once a year

 

Commercial kitchen hygiene is controlled by the stringent guidelines of the Food Safety acts of 1990 and 1995.

In such high pressured environments even with efficient and well organized staff it’s difficult to keep the best kitchen thoroughly clean –hidden corners and heavy equipment are some of the standard  obstacles faced. There are even some tasks such as high level cleaning that catering staff cannot do because of the Health and Safety guidelines and equipment required.

So for assistance in maintaining an efficient hygiene management program in running your kitchen it is recommended to give it a deep clean at least once a year or even every six months depending on production.

Europa-ICS offer a thorough Kitchen deep cleaning service. This includes a free survey/quote, a professional clean and a certificate to deal with all insurance requirements.

 

How do we deep clean the kitchen?

  

Firstly we come to site and complete the  full survey to produce a quote. The quote will be broken into three areas, structure, canopies and equipment.

On the day of the clean we will clean all the agreed components by the following various methods:-

  • Degreasing – Removal of grease deposits via chemical/manual cleaning methods
  • Decarbonising – Removal of burnt on products from the heating surfaces and surrounds of equipment such as cookers and fryers.
  • Sludge Removal – Removal of any semi-liquid sediment.
  • Thorough Cleaning – Removal of other food deposits from food rooms using chemical and steam cleaning.
  • Equipment cleaning – degrease/descale/decarbonise all chosen utensils.

On completion off the clean the team leader will walk through the job with the client and arrange sign off.

 

 What are the benefits of Kitchen Deep Cleaning ?

 

Once Europa-ICS have completed the clean the client will have gained four main benefits from the kitchen deep clean to assist them during the following period:-

  • The kitchen deep clean will comply with all the relevant insurance, fire and H&S regulations. Europa-ICS will supply the client with a photographic report and issue a certificate with the date of the clean.
  • The Kitchen deep clean will assist the client in any visits from Environmental Health officers.
  • The kitchen deep clean will have a major effect on the stopping of any pests or bacteria spreading within the kitchen.
  • The Kitchen deep clean will be deemed to be part of a stringent hygiene management process operated by the client to ensure that all employees are working in a clean and healthy environment.
